Huntsville State Park

Huntsville State Park is the location for our 3rd annual Feast of Tabernacles Camping weekend.  Funny to call it the ‘3rd annual’ when the Feast of Tabernacles has been celebrated annually for more like 3,000 years or more.

We just started making effort to learn more about it and practice it. One thing we found interesting is the connection between biblical promises for those that keep the Feast will receive rain. The first year our congregation did Tabernacles was right after one of Texas’ major droughts…and rain was not far behind.

It also rained on the next two consecutive Tabernacle weekends. We had to learn to appreciate the blessing instead of giving in to grumbling like the Israelites in the wilderness- who REALLY lived out the tabernacle life.

Here are a few lovely scenes found from that weekend of gratitude, community, and rest.
