My first blue ribbon

Here it is – my 1st Place Winner at the Woodlands Art League Fall Competition, Division III. Funny, it was not the one I was imagined would be a contender. I had so many others I thought of entering that seemed much more interesting, but this one I couldn’t explain why I just liked it’s simplicity. The judge, Karim Ghonima, a Sculpture teacher at the Glassell School of Art, had the same reaction – form and simplicity. Now it will go on to compete at the Lone Star Art Guild competition!
