Elopement at Trois Estate in Fredericksburg

Jessica & Michael connected over their love for thoughtful books and lifestyles.  On their third date, Jessica & Michael talked about an article they found about marriage, where it was described as choosing a person not just for the big romantic gestures, but for sharing thousands of mundane moments that are part of everyday life.  That conversation resonated with them from that third date all the way to the altar-  to embrace the real, the genuine, the normal-ness of life, and all of that they welcome together.  They brought their family and close friends to Fredericksburg and stayed at Trois Estate and held a private ceremony in the courtyard.  In their vows, they included their willingness to embrace romance AND thousands of mundane moments shared.

Doing what I do, I’ve heard a lot of vows, and this one had such a sweet contentment and sincerity that was truly unique and heartfelt.  They are saying yes to real life, better together.  I loved it!

Did some random cat saunter across the front during the ceremony and clean itself- yes.  Did I chase away a cute but yappy dog that was disturbing the solemnity – yes.  Did they have hearts so full that tears and smiles and hugs and kisses spilled out constantly – YES!  That is embracing normal life and calling it WONDERFUL!!

Congratulations Jessica & Michael!
