Contigo Ranch Wedding in Fredericksburg for Ashton & Nathaniel

Would you ever imagine that standardized testing could make you so so happy? It did for Nathaniel, that’s the day he first saw Ashton. Of all the things on his mind that day, she was one that wouldn’t fade. They were friends at Baylor, until a summer apart pulled on Nathaniel’s heart and he knew he couldn’t live without her. They invited their friends from Waco for a wedding weekend in Fredericksburg, and Contigo Ranch offered the aesthetic she was looking for as well as onsite lodging -a big plus around here! It had rained too much the day before to have all the guests cars go up and down the hill for a ceremony on the bluff, so the chairs were setup on the covered patio for the ceremony. Plan B, but Ashton later still had this to say: it was the best day of my life.

We did manage to get up to the bluffs for a few photos overlooking the Texas hill country at dusk, where they had a private picnic before getting their party started! A party which now holds my record for biggest group of guys shoulder to shoulder singing John Denver’s “Country Roads” … not sure whyyyyy this song has made a comeback (somebody explain this phenomenon to me?!?!) but I sure do love the vibe 🙂
