Contigo Ranch Wedding with Lauren & George

It’s a classic opposites attract – George, a reserved southern professional hunting guide falls for Lauren, a charming California yogi. At their rehearsal dinner game when asked who fell in love first, his boot hit the air first. The hunt was over for both George and Lauren, who invited their families from various states to celebrate their wedding at Contigo Ranch in Fredericksburg. To me, a couple’s first dance song is like a pairing of wine and cheese – I enjoy observing a couple’s chemistry during the day and then seeing what song they pick to dance to. For these newlyweds it was Real Love Baby by Father John Misty, and I smiled behind my camera as the beat set their feet to dancing. Also, I’m again grateful for Texas weather, it was clear and calm and so lovely we didn’t even need the space heaters for the outdoor dancefloor in December! What a lovely, lovely night.
