A Night to Remember at Hoffman Haus Fredericksburg: Hailey & Darren

A little adorable detail from their “how did yall meet” story:

Darren saw Hailey in economics class and thought she was the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen.  He friended her on Facebook and decided to use that connection to ask a question… THE question on his mind… “sooooo I’m making mashed potatoes, any advice?”  Bemused that he would pick one of the most basic of stovetop recipes to ask about, Hailey kindly wrote back that it’s very simple, uh you boil them…and mash them? 🙂  It was a goofy question but that wasn’t the point of course, it was aANY excuse to start talking to her.  And THAT was how he began winning over this babe!  Moral of the story: you never score a homerun if you don’t pick up the bat.  Way to go, Darren! (;
